WorkAbility IV - Internships

Student internships are a key component of the WorkAbility IV Program. Internships allow students to gain new skills and apply their academic knowledge in a work setting.  In addition, they are a great tool for networking and obtaining field experience prior to graduation.  Statistics show that students who complete internships are more marketable and are offered higher salaries. (see the SDSU Career Services salary survey)

The WorkAbility IV Internship Specialist is available to meet with students to discuss opportunities for field work and offer guidance in:

  • Locating and applying for an internship
  • Interviewing and preparing to complete an internship
  • Meeting requirements to obtain course credit
  • Disability disclosure and accommodations at the site
  • Resolving problems the arise during the internship
  • Incorporating the internship experience in a resume

Some Internship Programs Available to WorkAbility IV Students Include:
