Start or Renew an Organization! 

The Recognized Student Organization application for the 2018 - 2019 academic year becomes available on May 1st! Please note that there are two recognition Seasons:

  • Fall 2018- May 1st-September 1st
  • Spring 2019- December 1st- February 1st 

 Steps to completing your 2018 - 2019 application:  

  1. New President and Treasurer must complete the RSO Leadership Training
  2. Continuing Present and Treasurer must complete an online process (please contact Student Life & Leadership at sll@sdsu.edu)
  3. Advisors must complete orientations
  4. President and Treasurer must complete the Student Organization Conflict and Identity Awareness training, sessions A and B. This is a four-hour committment and you can sign up at SOCIA
  5. Complete the RECOGNIZED STUDENT ORGANIZATION (RSO) APPLICATION. (Please note the RSO/Officer Login Page now uses SDSU ID as credentials for aunthenication instead of webportal.)  

Required Officer Orientation Training

New President's and Treasurer's must complete the RSO Leadership Training.

The dates of Officer Orientation Training are listed under the "Student Officer Orientation" tab.  We are asking that key officers (President and Treasurer) complete the required trainings by September 1, 2018.  If sessions are full before September 1st please register for the next available training online, as well as inform Student Life & Leadership of your registered date.  

Student Organizations have until September 1st, 2018 to complete all aspects of their RSO Application or their organization status will be changed to Suspended.
