Travelers of all genders and sexual identities are encouraged to study abroad, but they may want to consider how certain aspects of a chosen program (city, country, culture, religion, etc) may impact their experience.
The world is increasingly a tolerant environment, but even today certain students may encounter less accepting attitudes, stereotypes or unwanted attention.
