Insurance for Study Abroad

Insurance is required

You are required to maintain adequate health insurance coverage at all times while abroad, and all students are provided instructions concerning insurance during the application process. Domestic or alternate insurance plans will not be accepted for participation in CSU and SDSU sponsored programs.

    Students are provided instructions how to enroll in the SDSU required insurance.
     
  • csu logoCSU International Programs
    All students are provided instructions in the CSU International Programs application process.

  • isep logoAll ISEP Programs (Exchange and Direct)
    Purchase the required ISEP insurance (further details provided upon acceptance).
  • Partner Programs
    All students will be provided approved insurance through the approved program provider, and may need to enroll in SDSU travel insurance; more information provided during the application process.
  • SDSU Faculty-Led Programs
    Students provided instructions how to enroll in the SDSU required insurance.
  • Insurance for travel outside of school-sponsored program
    Students who need travel insurance coverage before or beyond the date of their school-sponsored program dates must independently research worldwide travel insurance options and choose the best fit depending on their personal travel & activity plans.
